Uploading a Single Report
If you would like to upload a single report or data file one time you can easily do so. This is most useful if your data isn't changing or you want to test a particular file. Scoop is more useful, however, when it is setup to automatically load new reports daily to keep your data fresh. This will be described in the next few sections. However, uploading a single file is exceptionally simple. Start by clicking the New Dataset button on the Datasets page and then selecting Data File.
Once you do that you can specify the file to upload by either clicking to select from a file dialog, or dragging and dropping your file into the designated area in the Scoop dialog.
Once this is done, you can then specify a name for your dataset. You can also optionally specify a longer description of your dataset. Usually you want to create a new dataset. However, you can upload a single file to an existing dataset if you would like, for example, to upload a historical report to fill in a gap.
When ready, just press upload and Scoop will process your report.
