Advanced Charting: Pictorial & Waterfall

Note: This document explains advanced visualization features often missed by standard users.

🎯 Intent Triggers

If the user asks about:

Scenario: You want a bar chart where the bars are stacks of coins or custom icons.

Create a Bar Chart: Start by creating a standard Bar Chart with your metrics.
Open Style Tab: In the Explorer right-hand drawer, click Style.
Enable Pictorial: Look for the Pictorial Bar section (or "Show as bar" toggle).
Upload Image:
- Click the "Upload" icon next to a data series.
- Upload your SVG or PNG (e.g., a coin icon).
Configure:
- Repeat: Toggle "On" to stack the image (Coin, Coin, Coin) instead of stretching it.
- Clip: Toggle "On" to cut off the last image partially (representing fractional values).

Scenario: Visualizing P&L (Profit & Loss) or Inventory Flow.

Select Data: Choose your metric (e.g., "Monthly Variance").
Chart Type: Select Waterfall from the visualization list.
Style Configuration:
- Start Color: Color for the initial baseline.
- Up Color: Color for positive increments (e.g., Green).
- Down Color: Color for negative decrements (e.g., Red).
- End Color: Color for the final total bar.

"For Pictorial Charts, use SVG icons for the best resolution. If you use 'Repeat' mode, make sure your icon is roughly square for accurate counting."
