Recipes, Collaboration & Export

Purpose: Accelerate analysis with templates, share findings securely, and export data. Audience: All Users

1. Analytics Recipes

Recipes are pre-built templates that solve specific business problems. Instead of building a dashboard from scratch, you plug your data into a Recipe.

Available Recipes

  • Sales: Pipeline Analysis, Deal Velocity.
  • Marketing: Campaign ROI.
  • Finance: Budget Analysis.
  • Operations: Inventory Optimization.
  • HR: Employee Satisfaction.

Workflow

  1. Choose a Recipe: Browse the Recipe Gallery by department (Marketing, Sales, etc.).
  2. Connect Data: The Recipe will tell you what data it needs (e.g., "Connect Salesforce" or "Upload Sales CSV").
  3. Match Fields: Map your columns to the Recipe's requirements.
    • Example: Map your Amount_Sold column to the Recipe's Revenue field.
  4. Launch: Scoop automatically generates the Canvases, Insights, and Metrics defined in the template.

2. Sharing & Collaboration

Securely share your insights with your team or external stakeholders.

Sharing Permissions

Open the Share Dialog to configure access:

  • Invite Only: Only specific email addresses can view.
  • Private: Only you can view.
  • Public: Anyone with the link can view (useful for broad distribution).

Security Controls

  • Require Account: Toggle this ON to ensure only logged-in Scoop users can view the link. Toggle OFF for seamless external sharing.
  • Restrict Access: Use Prompts to filter what the recipient sees.
    • Example: Share a "Sales Dashboard" with a regional manager, but restrict the data to only show "Region = Northeast".
  • Passcode: Scoop automatically generates a secure passcode for shared links.

3. Exporting Data

Get your data out of Scoop for use in other tools.

Exporting from Chat

When Scoop answers a question with a table or chart:

  1. Look for the Export icon (usually near the top right of the answer).
  2. Choose your format: Excel or CSV.

Exporting from Grids

In any data grid or table view:

  1. Right-click anywhere on the grid.
  2. Select Export from the context menu.
  3. Choose CSV or Excel export.

Exporting Presentations

  • Presentations are typically shared via Link (see Sharing above) for the best interactive experience.
  • Static exports (PDF) may be available via your browser's "Print to PDF" function while in Presentation Mode.
