Using Scoop in Channels

Overview

Scoop in channels enables team collaboration while maintaining privacy for exploratory queries. Results are initially private, allowing you to refine your analysis before sharing insights with the team.

Mentioning Scoop

In any channel, mention @Scoop followed by your query:

@Scoop show me sales trends for Q4
@Scoop which products have the highest margin?
@Scoop create a bar chart of revenue by region

Private Responses

By default, Scoop responds privately (ephemeral messages) in channels:

  • Only you can see the response
  • Allows iteration without cluttering the channel
  • Perfect for exploratory analysis

  • Attribution to you as the discoverer

Best Practices for Channels

1. Start Broad, Then Narrow

@Scoop filter to enterprise customers only
